About the only thing which seems to run is libreoffice, which isn't real handy for a machine I want to be headless. Regardless of whether I connect to an existing desktop, or start a new MATE session, I am unable to open virt-manager, or a whole array of other applications (firefox, software boutique, gcompris). Lets assume this folder is called x2goclient.
Extract all the contents to a new folder of your choosing. Open the X2Go Client setup.exe in an archive manager such as 7-zip. The issue does not occur on x2goclient running windows, there the session can be continued later. The Windows installer is based on Nullsoft and thus can be called with /S (case-sensitive) to perform a silent installation.
After a short period the client then says 'no response received from remote server'. I noticed when I first fired up the client, that everything was running quickly, but that's about as far as it got. If I terminate, and start a new session, everything works. OS X may prompt you to install X11 (10.7 and earlier) or XQuartz (10.8 and later), proceed with installing either package. One of the functions I need to be able to access is my KVM virtual machine manager. I am currently setting up a headless (eventually) ubuntu machine, which I want to control through x2go from my windows (not sure if this information is pertinent, as I think the clients should all run the same) laptop.
